Dear parents and anyone employed to care for babies and young children up until the age of 12
Great Expectations.nl is pleased to be able to offer First Aid courses in English to fit the needs of the Expatriate community. This includes our international schools, creches, playgroups as well as home-based childminders and of course parents.
Those of you employed in the care of babies and children up until the age of 12 are required to hold a Dutch qualification in First Aid. You are required to do some home study, book for an 8 hour tutorial which includes your practical and theory exams. To know more please go to NL Qualification on the menu bar. For schools and creches etc. Great Expectations.nl is also willing to come on-site to train your employees over one full day. Please contact us for a proposal.
For parents or au pairs or anyone who does not need a formal qualification but who would like to boost their confidence in First Aid situations, I would suggest doing the Parent Course. There is no formal exam for this course but the certificate CANNOT BE USED IN THE WORKPLACE. This certificate CAN be used for those working with Guides and Scouts and in the Voluntary Sector. This is held over one Saturday from 9.30 - 15.30. Very young babies are welcome with their parents if you feel it wouldn't be too exhausting for them. See COURSE DATES.
